Capitol in Wernigerode

At the moment everyone is trying to make the best of the situation and the Capitol has done it and not only the best but also the most delicious. Kale, goulash, mulled cherry wine sold right at the window in the beautifully decorated streets. We'll definitely be back as often as possible ?

Clean restaurant. Large selection and portions. Delicious. Friendly service. I can only recommend it.

We were with 8 people in the Capitol for dinner. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was consistently very tasty and well presented. Price-performance ratio absolutely okay.

A bit old-fashioned and cramped but very tasty food and friendly staff. There were five of us and everyone ordered something different. The same good quality with every meal, everyone was very satisfied.

Delicious food at good prices. The menu is straightforward, but there should be something for everyone. The restaurant is a bit old-fashioned and simple inside, but all in all recommendable.

Super tasty beef roulade and duck breast. For dessert there was cappuccino and apple strudel. We recommend! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately waited 1 hour for the food because only 1 waitress was present. It's a shame because the food was great. What is still questionable is that no contact details have been recorded, which is actually done in all restaurants because of Corona.

From the outside, an inconspicuous restaurant in the middle of the shopping mile in Wernigerode. But then, in the backyard, a very nice, quiet and idyllic beer garden. Away from the tourist crowds, heavenly. The service was extremely nice and courteous. The food was just delicious. Whether soljanka, seasoned meat, roulade with red cabbage and dumplings or jelly with fried potatoes - everything is just delicious. The price-performance ratio is very good here.

Small menu, but everything is incredibly delicious. Every ingredient just right. Price / performance is great. Portions are normal size. Don't stop at mass-produced goods. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Dogs are also allowed. Came here two days in a row. Super-duper!

The best schnitzel I've ever had

Very tasty food and a good price. Very diverse selection of dishes. Not only the taste, but also the noises from the kitchen (knocking schnitzel) convinced that everything is freshly prepared. The beer garden is in the courtyard and therefore very cool even in extreme heat. The bushes between the tables give a very private and cozy feeling. I would definitely recommend it.

Great beer garden with a super nice service, who apparently knows exactly what is important here! The food is very recommendable from the price-performance ratio and also fast thanks to the well-organized kitchen !! The menu has everything it needs; nothing more can be said, only the cleanliness in the beer garden could be improved, but that is really only of secondary importance !! Everything else fits absolutely !!

Friendly and quick service, the food was consistently good and the price / performance ratio was reasonable. We sat in the beer garden, which is quiet and cozy in the back yard.

... We called beforehand and reserved a table for inside, when we arrived we saw the beer garden and out of the blue for us Decided, which was absolutely no problem. The 2 waitresses were super friendly and especially quick! Drinks for € 2.50 were great and the food anyway! There was baked camembert as a starter and the duck with dumplings and red cabbage as well as the grill plate as the main course. Changes in food were not a problem. It tasted great and we would only recommend it to everyone. No 0815 tourism rip off but really friendly and tasty. The only small disadvantage: no card payment possible, I would think about it and also introduce it :-)

We ate a deer goulash and a vegetable casserole today. By far the best game goulash of the last few years, a good portion optically a feast for the eyes cooked with love, butter-tender high quality game meat with dumplings and red cabbage. My wife was also enthusiastic about her vegetable casserole with ham, gratinated with hollandaise sauce and cheese, also a pleasure. Price performance great, better than the food in my hotel during the whole week, therefore two extra ** This restaurant is highly recommended, we would love to come back.

Great place, great value food , decent house wine and SUPERB Staff

This was an excellent place! The service was great, friendly and patient with our group's sometimes feeble attempts at German. Excellent food, with local fish and venison among the home-cooking style. A friend had the pork leg -- huge and tasty! I had braumeister schnitzel that was beautifully put together, and another friend had a local trout. All very well done!
